Beach FUN

My brother and SIL were at the beach for the week and we went down for the day and enjoyed every minute of it...I am not much of a beach person but I have to say, "I ENJOYED IT!"

I actually told them that I would not mind going for a week next year!  We will see, get on that SIL!

All-Star Weekend

It was All-Star Weekend for this household!  Chandler enjoyed every moment of it.  They lost on Saturday and then again on Sunday.  Chandler was very upset that baseball was over.....he would have a ball and glove in his hand 24-7 is you let him.  He came home from VBS last night at 9 and picked up a ball and glove.  :-)

This week has been full of leftovers and whatever you can find!  Chandler has loved the fact that he could have chicken rings from The Churn everynight before ball practice!  Here are some before and after pictures of out kitchen!  We are loving it and cannot believe how much better it looks!  Only took 6 years!  So glad the mess is over!

Amazing at how the phone stayed on the wall for 6 years, but cannot get it back up there now!  lol!

Just need some new curtains now!  Not liking the color of them with the tile!  That will come in due time!  The visual in me will have to find them on a rack somewhere!

Wow, those countertops are so clean.....

that can only mean ONE thing!

It's TILE time!

The Visual person that I am made it hard to find the right tile and grout....who knew there were so many colors of grout.  I don't remember that when we built the house.  Maybe beause the lady at Palmetto Tile just said, this grout will look great!  Different when you are doing it on your own!

After 6 years, we are finally put in a backsplash!

I cannot wait to see the final results!

All Star Boy

Back in January, we made a decision to let Chandler play with the 7 and 8 year olds in the Pitching Machine League.  We felt that he was a little more advanced than what t-ball could offer and wanted more for him. 

Thursday night showed us that we were lead in the right direction with our desision.  Chandler who is 6 will be playing with other 7 and 8 year olds in the All Star game.  

You can not wipe the grin off his face. 

We thank his coach for nominating him for this opportunity.

We give all the credit to Chandler for him working hard throughout the season and showing the All Star coach at try-outs that he can do it!

We cannot wait to follow this group of boys at the end of the month!

Busy Day

Laundry Room Update

Never can have enough storage in a house and our Laundry Room is the Catch All of all places in our house!  It is the first door you come to.....take off shoes, shed clothes, you name it, it is in there!

When we were building our house, the main thing that I knew was that I wanted a door to my utility room....I wanted to be able to close it off!  Good thing because it is a mess at all times! 

Back in January of 2011, I tried to become more organized with our laundry....it has helped pretty much.....I fold clothes, put them in the individual basket and then they always never make it to the drawers or closets.  The laundry room has always been a pretty ugly green.  Looked better on the paint strip.  I hate to paint so that is why it has stayed that color for the last 6 1/2 years....

January 2011

My first day of summer break started with painting, yes that is right, I said, "PAINTING!"

I am such a visual person that it is horrible. Lowes has these wonderful paint samples and it helped me see a vision even more!

June 2012 

I am just in love with this color!  The make do curtain is a shower curtain that I found in Dollar General....not keeping it, don't like it....

Also, the hubby and I went to Home Depot and got 2 cabinets for the wall.  Oh I am in love with these 2 extra cabinets.  AND by the way, we put them up all by ourselves.  So proud of us!

 

This is my new corner cabinet....everything has a home instead of sitting on top of the dryer or on a shelf in the corner.   Oh yeah, a old baby wipes container works wonderful for dryer sheets.  Just take off top so you can reach it and you have it.

Still using out laundry basket system.  Everyone has a basket of nice clean clothes.

Maybe the laundry fairy will come and put them up for me! 

The red containers are shoe containers for the kids!

Notice my little frig from school.....she has a nice place for the summer and we are loving the cold drinks....

We are going to add a 36 inch cabinet over the sink...cannot wait! 

Then, another corner cabinet and put a bar between the sink cabinet and corner cabinet for clothes to hang on....these are ready to be put in closet.....come on fairy lady! 

Each person has a catch all basket.....hope these will help me to stay organzied!

Oh yeah, ordered this today..... a black and white valance.  Think I will like this..
