She is so Creative!

I have a wonderful sister-in-law, Emily.  She is so creative and I love every minute of it....I love it when I do get up to her house and see all the neat things that she has created.  It makes me want to come home and be creative and do cute things.

Emily created Cayleigh an adorable bow holder.  It sure looks better hanging on the wall than the brown belt that I had all the bows on previous.

I love it!  Thank you so much!

5 Months Old

Inside the womb, you keep thinking...
what will she/he look like-mommy or daddy
is it a girl or a boy

It is so funny because I never thought that I was carrying a baby girl up until ultrasound day. Chandler and I both told people-it is a boy. His name is Cameron. Well, what a shock to both of us on that November day, but no one could be more happier than Chandler to have a baby sister named Cayleigh.

So, when I did find out it was a girl....I thought...oh my...
Ribbons, Bows & Frilly Lace
(here is a poem that I found)

Ribbons, bows & frilly lace
We’re all waiting to see your pretty face.
From the first time she cries
To the first time she laughs
Both will be as big as giraffes.
A special love for you, hugs & a kiss
I’m sure will bring nothing but pure bliss.
A special girl so sweet & true
She is bound to turn out just like you

Where have the last 5 months gone!  Wow, how time flies.
Cayleigh is a happy baby and very content.  She loves to lay on her gym mat and play with her toys.  She started rolling a month ago and she will not stop.  She is all over the living room floor.  She enjoys eating her baby food-sweet potatoes seem to be her favorite so far.  She likes her fruit mixed with cereal.

She likes to play with her hands which are usualy in her mouth.  If an object is in her reach, it is going in her mouth.

She likes to sleep on her tummy...gets that from her mommy.  She starts out on her side and in about 5 minutes she is over.  She wakes up about 12 or 1 am for a bottle and then again about 4:30.

And we cannot forget, when Chandler walks in the room, she goes to laughing and she is all smiles.  It is precious!

A busy day

School Morning...Cayleigh's been up since 4 and Chandler does not want to get up at 6.  Chandler likes to lay with Cayleigh in the mornings before he gets out of bed.  Of course, he was still sleepy and not wanting to get out of the bed.  I put Cayleigh beside him while I got his clothes out.  When I turned back around, he was holding her hand and she was fast asleep and he was too.....too cute!

Off to school and then back home again....time for supper!  I need more time in the day!
This was Cayleigh's first day eating some baby food.

SQUASH...YUM YUM

and some good ole apple juice....
Cayleigh was pretty content so I let her sit and play with her cup!  She tries to turn it up to her mouth.  As you can see, she has more on her than in her belly.  It kept her busy while I cooked supper!

Cayleigh's New Toy

Look at that cute duck!   Cayleigh's new toy for the week!
Cayleigh started with a little cold even before we started daycare last week.  Well, of course it only got worse.  On last Friday, we started on some meds-it has not helped much, it did make her nose run more but then it went straight into her lungs-yeap, that is right, the good ole.....

WHEEZING

so this is not new to us...Chandler started wheezing at 3 months old.  We have gone from a nebulizer with him to an inhaler.  And it only continues with Cayleigh.  We are trying the infant inhaler before the nebulizer.  Of course, if this does not work, then it off to the wonderful nebulizer.

Personally, I like the 2 puffs of the inhaler

compared to the 15 to 20 minutes of the nebulizer.

I surprised myself!

On Saturday, Chandler had a birthday party to go to.

Yeah, we gave a present but I waned to do something a little more touching.  I was pretty amazed at myself.  I love to scrapbook and saw these wooden frames and thought these would make great gifts.

I just took a piece of scrapbook paper and glued on top of the wooden area.  I cut out the area in the middle for a picture.  Then, I used my Cricut and cut out the child's name and some fun scrapbook stickers to add the finished touches.  I am so ready to go back and make some for Chandler and Cayleigh.

Emily, I am trying but I will never have your touch!  I just love it and love seeing your thoughts.

Day 2 of Daycare

On my way-Day 2 of daycare.  Cayleigh ended up sleeping 9 hours last night-hee hee, guess that is what happens to a tired little girl when she does not sleep at daycare.  We will see how today goes!

4 month check up

Wow, what a day for Cayleigh.  It was her first day at daycare.  I did wonderful myself this morning.  It was alot easier this go round than it was with Chandler.  Maybe because I have had 4 months home with her.  It may have also been because she left me for Mrs. M and gave me a big smile.

She did not sleep much-Only about 10 minutes total.....her little eyes were a little red when I got there but they said that she had not been crying today.

Then, it was off to get her 4 month shots.....boo!

Weight:  14 pounds 7 ounces
Height:  24.25 inches
Head:  16 inches
Cayleigh has a little cold but overall she had a wonderful check up.  She was a trooper with her shots.  She only cried when they stuck her and then was fine.
