A Day at Gma and Gpa's

What better way to spend a Friday than at Gma and Gpa's house.

Mom and I played around with a couple of poses with Cayleigh.
This is a hat that mom and memi purchased.  The bows are still growing on me.

Trying on her Christening outfit! It was mine that I wore, it is still a little big but hopefully Cayleigh will grow a little in the next 4 weeks: Mark your calendars--Cayleigh's Christening is on May 23, 2010.

Those who know Chandler know that he is Gpa's buddy.  If Gpa is there, so is Chandler.  He pretty much does not leave his side.  Chandler was helping Gpa today with the golf cart.
Gpa got an older golf cart that needed a little bit of TLC.

Chandler wanted to help Gpa with the painting...

Getting a lesson in tools!

4 Weeks Old

Today marks 4 weeks for Cayleigh.  It is hard to imagine her not being apart of our family.  It is even hard to remember what it was like to sleep through the night.  Cayleigh likes to eat every 2 to 3 hours.

Okay, so I was fixing to change her for her pictures and she was trying to give me a grin.  Get the camera quick. You will notice on the next 2 that she did not grin at all.  Oh well, that day will come!

Okay a little grin here but she put her hand in the way!  I was able to catch a few strands of hair for a bow but it did not want to stay.

This was my dress as a child also.  Mom has saved several of my dresses and I am able to use them for Cayleigh.  There are several more to come in future weeks.  I will try and remember to get a picture of me in the dress and post it.

It's Earth Day!

Earth Day

Chandler had to wear GREEN today to school to celebrate Earth Day so of course we had to put Cayleigh in green also.

3 Weeks and Happy 32nd Birthday to Me!

Happy Birthday to Me!  Today I turned 32!  Wow, where the time has gone!  I got to spend the day with Chandler and Cayleigh-yeap, no daycare for Chandler.  The morning started off with Chandler helping me to do the dishes.  He just loves to help.

We then tried to play around with Cayleigh so we could get a picture at 3 weeks.  Chandler wanted her to sit in the crib so this is the best we got.

Thanks to mom and dad, we did not haveto cook supper!  House of Pizza was wonderful!

Quiet Night for Me

A nice quiet night for me---
Cayleigh was the first out about 8;
Chad about 9 and
Chandler about 10!
I need to be napping now before the next bottle-just had to blog the following...

What a night-Tuesday in Biggest Loser Night for Chandler and I.  We both enjoy watching it.  Well, Chandler enjoys watching the ending and yelling out the pounds each contestant has lost.  Tonight was a little different.  Chandler said he was hot and went and got his fan that Gma gave him, a pillow off his bed and a blanket.  He crawled up on the sofa and said, Mommy, I am going to sleep like Cayleigh.  For those who know how I struggle with Chandler at night, this was wonderful.  He was out like a light in about 15 minutes-of course the fan was blowing!
and of course after he finished his cup of milk.

Could not resist the camera on this one.

And to think....he did all this on his own without me saying, let's go to bed!
Wish every night could be like this!

While he sleeps, Cayleigh is enjoying her nap before her next bottle in her swing!

FUN Day in Rock Hill

FUN day in Rock Hill!  Today was mine, Chandler and Cayleigh's first time seeing Miss Emma Kate.  It is amazing at how God works with tiny miracles.  Sitting there looking at Cayleigh and Emma Kate, we see how blessed  we are.  It will be wonderful to see the two of them grow up.

Trying to get some good pictures!

Trying to get some black and white photos of Chandler and Cayleigh.

He wants to kiss her all the time.  As Gma says, "her head is full of sugar."

Only picture without him holding her down.

I love the way she looks at him.  When he talks, her little head turns that way.

Bath Time in the Looper House

It's bath time at the Looper house!  For those who know Chandler-he hates to get a bath.  It was almost like Cayleigh knew that mommy had things to do.  She sat in her tub which she has not been able to use yet but enjoyed watching Chandler take a bath.  She actually was probably thinking-what is this boy doing!

Cayleigh being so quiet and enjoying the moment.  Let's hope she really enjoys her tub when the time comes.  Her belly button is almost heeled up.  I give her a week and she will be ready.

Gym Mat Time

Cayleigh enjoyed a little bit of time on her gym mat.  She really enjoyed watching the lights .  We tried a little bit of tummy time but she really is not into that.  She would still like to lay on her back or side.  She is a side sleeper at night.
Look at that face!  Mommy, "what are you looking at?"

Big Brother-LIttle Sister

It is amazing with how much Chandler has taken onto Cayleigh.  He loves to hold her-he actually thinks that it is okay for him to hold her by himself.  Today, he told me, "Mommy, you can go do that, I can watch her by myself."  How cute!  Things around the Looper house are going well.  Chandler stayed home from daycare today with Mommy.  That cannot happen every day but from time to time.  He wants to feed her but does not understand that he pushes the bottle a little too hard.  He also wants to make sure she has her pacifer at all times, even when she is not fussing!  We are excited to say that our family is complete!

Doctor's Appointment

Cayleigh went to the doctor for her check up today!  Things were good!  She lost 5 ounces but the doctor said that was okay.  We go back on April 15th for a weight check.  We also discovered that Cayleigh is not 16 1/2 inches long but 18 1/2 inches.  Cayleigh was breech at birth so the doctor said that the nurses probably did not want to pull her little legs down and hurt them.  I was very excited to know that she was not as short as they said.

A little Jaundice

Well, what can I say, I have been pretty bad with making sure that I have a picture of everyone that came to visit.  We are so thankful to everyone who has stopped by or sent something.  She is truely a blessing from God and we will continue to treasure her everyday.  Cayleigh is doing great.  This is one of my favorite pictures.  Michael and Emily came to visit-yeah they could not stay away, knowing that she is only a week or 2 herself from bringing their miracle from God into this world.  Look at the glow!  It is wonderful.  We cannot wait until we get the phone call saying, let's go!  Emma Kate is going to be loved and my prediction is that Michael will not stop smiling.

We had a little mild case of jaundice 10.4 on the scale and the doctor's want it under 10. We have been enjoying the sun and moving from place to place in the living room as the sun enters the house.
Napping while enjoying the sun!

3 Days Old

Cayleigh's first night in her crib.  She slept from 2:30 am to 6:30 am.

Cayleigh greeted Chandler this morning in the bed.  Chandler is in love with her.  He will not stop kissing her head and wants to hold her all the time.

Thanks to Uncle Mike Mike and Aunt Emily, I had a newborn outfit to wear today.  I am so cute as a little bunny.  Mommy really did not expect me to be this small so mommy was not ready with a lot of newborn clothes.

Cayleigh's first time in the swing.  She took a 3 hour nap!  YEAH!  We will continue to swing.
