Time to SHOP

Day after Thanksgiving brings SHOPPING!

This was our first year that we shopped in our own town!

We started out at Belk for their 3am opening....never knew so many people were thinking the same thing!

We were lucky to be one of the 250 people in the door.  I do mean LUCKY!

Emily and I got back to moms around 4:30 and had a chat with mom about all the crazy stuff one sees at 3am! that is a complete blog on its own!

Took a short nap, ate breakfast and then headed out again.

This time we took these two precious girls along for the ride! 

"Kate" did it!

While we shopped, this cutie played golf with his daddy!

After a day of shopping and golf, these 2 cannot get enough of each other!



Happy Thanksgiving

Thanksgiving brings family together for wonderful food and fellowship.

Our day started with lunch at Gma and Gpa's house!

Turkey and Dressing to fill our tummies!

They love each other so much and Cayleigh loves to walk around calling "Kate"

Next we headed over to Chad's moms house for supper!

Who wants turkey and dressing again....steaks and chicken were great! 

Cayleigh, London and Chandler have a tea (lemonade) party!

Nothing better to a child.

8 Years-Where did time go!

Happy 8 Year Anniversary

Where has the time gone!  It is amazing at how fast time flies when you are busy enjoying life!

We look forward to many more years of ...
sleepless nights
afternoon play times
new learning adventures in school
not wanting to get up in the mornings
night owls
once a month date nights
and just continuing to learn more about each other every day

Thank you God for putting us in the same place at the same time!
Without you, it would not be possible!

Dessert = Disaster

It was Cookie Swap Time at my monthly ADK meeting this month.

Not my favorite thing to do especially when there seems to be no time to do it!

I thought that

Graham Cracker Goodies

would be an easy one to tackle...

BOY WAS I WRONG!

(Where was my mom or SIL when I needed them)

Graham Crakers

1 stick margarine

1 stick butter

Chopped Pecans

1/2 cup sugar

Lay out the Graham Crackers on tin foil in a pan. 

Chop your pecans

These 2 are so cute playing in the kitchen!

I do believe they thought mommy was cooking something for them!

Melt your butter, margarine and sugar

Spread pecans on top of crackers and poor mixture over top

I was good on everything but the mixture....

not really sure what happened but they were too soft and did not stay together!

They were a FLOP!

Oh how a JELLY sandwich is better than anything else!

Cayleigh is 19 months old and has slept through the night maybe 5 to 10 times!

She moves so much in the crib that you can hear her head and feet hitting the side

SO... 

Time to Convert to the BIG BED

I want to get a child's vanity and put in this place!  This will do until we get it!

Let's keep our fingers crossed.....but last night, we both got 7 hours of sleep!

Woke up once for a cup of milk and back down.
